Since its founding in 1988, AIDS Housing of Washington (AHW) has created a total of 168 units of housing for people living with HIV/AIDS and their families in Seattle/King County. Today, we continue to play a major role in the conception, development, and implementation of new AIDS housing resources in our community.

Genesee Housing
A collaborative project with Seattle's Housing Resource Group to develop a mixed-use, 50-unit building that will include 22 affordable units for very low-income disabled individuals and families, including those living with HIV/AIDS. Opened in May 2006.

Judkins Park Apartments
16 new two- and three-bedroom apartments and townhomes in the Judkins Park neighborhood of Seattle, developed in collaboration with Seattle's Housing Resources Group. Opened in December 2004.

Bailey-Boushay House
A 35-bed residential skilled nursing facility and adult day health center -- the first facility of its kind designed specifically for people with HIV/AIDS. Opened in June 1992; owned and operated by Virginia Mason Medical Center.

Lyon Building
A 64-unit building providing permanent, supportive housing for people living with HIV/AIDS who have histories of mental illness, substance abuse, and homelessness. Opened in September 1997 and operated by Downtown Emergency Service Center.
