AIDS Housing of Washington (AHW), the Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH), and the National Alliance to End Homelessness (NAEH) convened “New Partnerships for Ending Homelessness: Housing, Services, and Employment” July 16-19 at the Hyatt Regency in Washington, D.C. This was AHW's Fifth National HIV/AIDS Housing Conference, and addressed the issues and challenges of providing an affordable home with appropriate, accessible services for every individual and family in need, including people with low incomes and those living with HIV/AIDS, addictions, mental illness, and other disabilities. More than 1,300 participants attended eighty-five workshops, roundtables, and institutes and participated in Lobby Day and other activities. Keynote speakers included Congressman Barney Frank (D-Mass.); The Enterprise Foundation COO Terri Montague; writer, photojournalist and physician Lonny Shavelson; and Executive Director of the Black AIDS Institute Phill Wilson. Special thanks to Triangle Residential Options for Substance Abusers (TROSA) for an outstanding photography exhibit. And many thanks again to all of our technical assistance partners, funders, and speakers for helping to make this conference such a success!
